College of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas
Form Service Learning Partnership
Beginning in September, twelve College of
Notre Dame students majoring in education will work one day a week with our students in grades 1-6. Here, the education majors will gain hands-on experience as they tutor students in math and also provide small group assistance to students in math and reading.
This partnership also provides for interaction between our students and college students which may inspire children to pursue higher learning and even a career in teaching. Faculty members benefit as well from the extra help in their classrooms.
